You should avoid wearing hearing aids to bed. By removing your hearing aids at night, you are allowing the skin on your ear canal to breathe and for earwax to gradually migrate out of the ear. Instead, you should remove your hearing aids before going to bed and open the battery door to help conserve battery life.

The answer ultimately depends on your hearing loss. If a professional evaluation indicates that you have hearing loss in both ears, two hearing aids may be recommended. If you think you have a hearing issue related to excessive earwax, call our office and we can help you find out.
