Congratulations to Affirmed Housing on their NAHB 2020 Pillar Awards! We are proud to be a part of the winning Affirmed Housing team for the Zephyr, Bluewater, and Stella projects, where NOVA provided geotechnical investigation as well as testing and inspection services.

NOVA Services performed a geotechnical investigation during the design phase and testing and inspection services during the construction phase of this amazing new addition to San Diego Bay. During the design phase of the project, NOVA collaborated with the Port of San Diego, ownership, and the design team to come up with a variety of solutions to mitigate the liquefaction hazard risk at the site including deep soil mixing (DSM) and auger cast-in-place piles (ACIP). The auger cast-in-place piles (ACIP) solution was chosen to support the Shell which includes the stage and associated buildings, the seating areas, and the tucked-under bathrooms and offices.
