Bringing gratitude to your food has been one of my favorite topics this holiday season. I am grateful that I get to share this information with you and with the employees Aya Healthcare as part of their corporate wellness program. If you’d like to use food to improve your health, it’s important to remember where your food comes from. There are a lot of factors that go into how food arrives to your plate. Consider the quality of the soil, sunshine, air, water, time the food was picked, the farmers and workers who tended to it, bug control, transportation, etc. This all happens without us having to do any physical labor in order to have food on a daily basis that nourishes us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osN06upMXKE

Many aspiring Health Coaches and Nutritionist ask me for support with growing their businesses. While I am humbled that they ask for my support, I have to be honest that I did not get here on my own. I've worked with some amazing business coaches who have helped to guide me along the way. Lindsey and Nicole from Get It Done Gals have helped me to build my confidence in my business and get out of overwhelm mode. They are having a sale this weekend on their website- 50% all of... their online courses! Their courses will teach you how to build your e-mail list, grow your social media, and create a thriving business through one of their online programs. This is a Black Friday deal that I am willing to share with you because I know the value that they are providing. Send me a private message if you have any questions! http://getitdonegals.com/shop/

"Before working with Amy I struggled with my relationship with food. I would be able to stay on track with my diet for about a week but then I would cave into the cravings and end up eating everything that I was restricting in the first place. Through working with Amy, I was able to completely change my relationship with food and my body. Now even when there are cupcakes, cookies, or ice cream at work and social events I no longer feel tempted. I check in with myself to see i...f I actually feel like eating the food and I ask myself how hungry I am. If I feel like eating the food, I allow myself to eat it and I enjoy every bite. In the past I used to feel guilty every time I ate 'bad' foods which led to me eating more foods that weren't healthy for me. Working with Amy has helped me change the food choices I make. It has also helped me to develop a self-care routine and have more respect for my body. I’ve been cooking much more in my own kitchen, using fresh ingredients, and have really brought out my creative side in cooking." - Julia L. Do you want to get out of the confusion of what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat? Are you ready to have more energy? Are you ready to experience less bloating? Are you tired of trying to do everything on your own? Let’s chat! I offer a complimentary introduction call to see if I am the right fit to support you. I got this beautiful e-mail from a client last week. Couldn’t help but share it with you because it reflects my values and commitment to my clients as a Holistic Nutritionist. I am so grateful that I met you and was able to work with you on improving my health and nutrition. I hear your voice in my ear often... encouraging me to slow down, do less, say no (to overcommitting), make good food choices, eat with intention, slow down - Annette As you can see the work that I do with my clients through the Nourished Balance 3-month program goes far beyond providing a meal plan and giving a list of foods to eat/avoid. I work side by side with my clients to encourage them to listen to their body, set healthy boundaries in their life, and create a healthier relationship with food. This is true change. This is healing.

When I first started taking yoga classes I couldn’t help but look around the room and compare myself to other people. I would think I’m not flexible enough Why can’t I do what they are doing? It wasn’t until I stopped comparing myself to others that my practice really started to progress. I took all the energy that I was placing on comparing myself to others and started to pay attention how the different poses felt in my body. When you compare yourself to others you are... basically telling yourself I’m not good enough or I’ll never be able to get there. If you send that message to yourself it is the opposite of encouraging and will never help you to make the changes it takes to reach your goals. When I realized that everyone’s body is different- we all have different levels of strength and flexibility- I was finally able to surrender and enjoy my yoga practice. The next time you find yourself comparing yourself to other people either in person or on social media remember that you have your own unique body, your own unique gifts, your own unique skills. The less time you spend focusing on everyone else and the more time you spend focusing on yourself, the happier you will be. #joy #wellness #nutrition #sandiego #holistic #nourished #yoga
