Not Just Quiltz

Attached is a photo of a memory quilt we completed recently. The customer's family member went to Boseman, Montana for the Christmas season and bought sweatshirts as mementos. We only had 7 to work with, so stretched the quilt to 9 blocks by using the front and back of one sweatshirt and used a pieced block in the center to coordinate with the butterfly fabric the customer selected for the quilt. We used a quilting pattern with pine trees, a bear and a moose. She was quite happy with the result.

I have made up a couple new Pattern Poole animal kits. Taeo Tiger is from the African Group and Wilder the Wolf is from the North American Animal group. Taeo Tiger is a large image at 20" x 24" and Wilder the Wolf is the 12" x 16" finished. Kit prices are $50 for Taeo and $35 for Wilder. Let me know what you think.

I want to share a quilt I just finished quilting for a customer Judi Venuto. She has brought a good number of quilts to do for her in the past, but this one is special. She bought a panel of Gustav Klimt's painting "The Kiss". She bought fabrics that went with the panel and came up with a lovely combination of fabrics and piecing. This quilt isn't very large but because of the notoriety of this painting, I felt I had to do it justice. It was a labor of love and took some time to find the right patterns, but Judi was happy so I'm happy with the results. I'm showing the completed panel and a couple shots where you can see the quilting. Well, the pics went in on the side, but I'm not sure why. Hopefully you can get an idea of the piecing and quilting.

Hello Friends! I hope everyone is healthy and keeping busy working of quilts, masks, crafts,anything that makes you smile. We all need that right now. What makes me smile these days is when a customer sends me a photo of a project she/he created with the Aboriginal fabrics. Below are photos of a bed quilt made by a customer from Connecticut-Harriet Gardner.
