The snake which cannot shed its skin, must die. That’s according to the German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche. Writing in 1881, Nietzsche wasn’t concerned with snakes, but he was making a point about the ability to change. Or rather that those who refuse to adapt are resisting the inevitability of change. Sometimes with disastrous consequences. Printing up a round of snake pullovers if you need one find the link in profile

fill in the blanks Everything you choose to add into your life brings things into you life. As a small business i try to make every decision for the business for the good of humanity. I print with water based inks because they are far less toxic to the environment than other methods (other inks are far easier to deal with but are made of melted plastic )... The garments that i select are from companies that have ethical standards for how they treat workers, they use recycled materials, figured out a method to use less water in the dying processes. I had custom envelopes made that are recyclable to ship goodies, and always use recycled paper to wrap garments. Not to mention the bags i give folxs in the shop + at shows are recycled. I get my ink from the art store down the street from the shop to keep it super local. Every choice i made with this small business i think of the environmental & societal impact i am creating. I have over the past decade often donated time, money + labor to various humanitarian causes. though i am part of this beast of capitalism i am trying to change the rules. Thank you for the support in that quest

Inspired by all the little details of the forest. There are so many world existing in them above + below... if you wait long enough you’ll start to see them all. @samotaged we missed seeing you this year in dc at craft bastards but stoked you had us send you some goodies to take along for your colorful adventure!! Living vicariously through these because man i miss the color shift of an east coast fall!

Trying to act natural in nature... enjoying the peace that these trees, ferns + forest bits bring to me. Its amazing how small you realize your are in the world.

Look at the bark of a redwood, and you see moss. If you peer beneath the bits and pieces of the moss, you'll see toads, small insects, a whole host of life that prospers in that miniature environment. A lumberman will look at a forest and see so many board feet of lumber. I see a living city. -Sylvia Earle
