Teeth of the Week: Don't let this happen to you. Because wisdom teeth are so far back in the mouth, they can be very difficult to clean properly. You can see the decay on these wisdom teeth and the osseous (bony) accumulation around the roots.

Teeth of the Week: The optimal time to remove wisdom teeth is when the roots are 1/3 - 2/3 formed, like these. This typically occurs between the ages of 14 and 18. Have you had your wisdom removed yet?!
