Salmon are all along the coast now from Trinidad to the Cape! Couple highlights from today, and limits for 6 anglers!

Crummy ocean this morning, but we landed 7 Pacific's and then went in for salmon. We scored 4, one just legal 13, 16 and 18.5 pounds!

Off the water while the winds blow! When it calms down, maybe there will be salmon around. If not we have other options!

Tomorrow we're leave for Baja, we'll be back on the 5th! We will start crabbing, and possible rockfish combos! Been a great season y'all, cheer's M&L

So yesterday, Saturday I had a full boat for California halibut and we had a boat limit by noon! That's right 21 halibut by noon! Today, Sunday, I only had 3 people and had 12 halibut by 10am. I will be running for as long as I can. Looks like rockfish is going to stay open thru December. I will only go to the Cape with a full boat, so if you want to go get a crew together! Will take a limited load in the bay, 3 people minimum. Also sport crab will open first weekend in November and we are currently taking reservations for that. Could be a rockfish combo if possible.

We are currently booking trips here in Eureka! We will take all precautions to keep me and the passengers safe. We will have hand washing stations available, and please bring a mask of some sort. We really encourage that you try and book the whole boat with family and/or friends that you know have been staying safe. If you feel sick, or are showing any symptoms of Covid, please stay home. Great fishing on the bay today, we had 21 fish by 12:30 today, nice grade with the last fish weighing in at 37.25 pounds at 44 inches! Great job to Eric that landed the big one and the rest of the crew! Y'all did a great job today!

I will be running bay trips all week because the wind is going to keep us pinned down on the outside! We have seats and days available, California halibut are delicious and y ok u get 3 per person! Let's do it!!

Started out salmon fishing, caught one but the ocean was ruff and we decided to go calibut fishing. We ended with 16 and could have gotten our other two, but crew said enough and we came in!

They are ripping, two people had to leave but we ended with 21 calibut!

Cape was biting today, and a hali too!

Bay is full of moss and grass, as bad as it gets ,but still biting!

Combo on Sunday was fun! Rockfish and lingcod have been great, and salmon has remained steady! Albacore today, then ocean conditions are going to come up for a few days later this week! Looks like bay trips are in the forcast!

Salmon again today! A bit slower but we got all of them by 1:30. No pic today. Ocean was a little lumpy today, it must have blown last night because the day before was like a lake! We are doing salmon tomorrow because it doesn't look like we will get to the cape!

Calibuts are still going strong, sound like salmon are going again, some in the sport fleet found them outside. Cape has been off limits for the last several days due to ocean conditions! We are supposed get a good weather stretch so we might be back down there before to long!

Ended up with 3 today, and went to look for salmon but ended up back where left them before the bad ocean conditions. Better grade with 7 to 16 lb fish!

Switched up today and fished for Pacific's! Landed a 30 and a 62 pounder! Going to Cape Mendicino tomorrow to do a combo trip of rockfish, lingcod and Pacific halibut!

Ok, working on connecting the two together, but here you go! Salmon fishing remains steady, rockfishing is getting better every season and we have good things coming down the road with bottom fish! Looks like we may get our depth restriction increased to 240 ft. next year with the end goal of being able to fish the Rockfish Conservation Area (RCA). The yellow eye quota has been raised by 110% from last year! That means they raised the mortality rate by 110%! This is a good th...ing as that population is rebounding nicely! We also had an increase in our Pacific Halibut quota this year, so all in all our fisheries are doing good thanks to scientific research and good management of our stocks! Now, it's time to make your reservations for this summer if you haven't already. Space is limited this month, but we do have seats, and a couple open days! Next month we have more space available. The last few days have been pretty darn good! My posts from Instagram should be showing up here. I should keep up on Facebook also, someone asked if I had been going much because they haven't seen my reports. However, many are seeing them. What do you think, post on both manually or just post on Instagram??

We have 6 days open in July if you want to put something together. And we have plenty in August, but the phone is ringing off the hook and first come first served! Cheers!

Windy today ar Cape Mendo, we were doing research with HSU rockfish survey. Couple nice lings, and a variety of other rock fishes! Back down tomorrow for some killing! Going to be way nicer!
