The Apostle Paul prayed the following prayer for the Church in Ephesus, and it is my prayer for you, for Northpark, and for the Church of Fresno/Clovis today; Ephesians 3:14-21 (NLT) When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, 15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. 16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust... in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Live with an awareness of the enormity of God’s love and power today. Pastor Bob

HAPPY MONDAY! Ecclesiastes is one of my favorite books in the Bible. It was written by Solomon; known as being the wisest and richest man in the Bible. He was a man that experienced everything and knew no limitations in life. Yet, he found the pursuits of life to be empty and meaningless.... At the end of his book he sums it up this way; Ecclesiastes 12:12-14 (NLT) But, my child, let me give you some further advice: Be careful, for writing books is endless, and much study wears you out. 13 That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty. 14 God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad. May I give you a Bob Willis paraphrase? Don’t wear yourself out with worldly pursuits. Keep it simple. Simply love, fear and obey God and it’s going to work out for you. Jesus put it this way; Matthew 6:33-34 (NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today. A design principle noted by the US Navy in 1960 says; Keep It Simple, Stupid. We make life harder than we need to much of the time. Let’s keep it simple this week! Pastor Bob
