Today, the State announced that Placer County, along with neighboring counties in the Greater Sacramento region, will be moving into the State's Regional Stay Home Order beginning Friday, Dec. 11. The order will remain in effect for a minimum of three weeks. The State's Regional Stay Home Order is triggered when a region's ICU capacity drops below 15%. On Thursday, Dec. 3, Governor Gavin Newsom outlined a new set of restrictions based on the regional strains on critical care services as COVID-19 cases continue to rise. The regional Stay Home order will be imposed if 85% of intensive care unit beds are filled. Once a region's ICU bed capacity falls below 15% the shutdown rules will take effect within 24 hours. Placer County has not currently reached that threshold; we will alert you if/when this happens through a dedicated eblast and the NLTRA Facebook page.
