Hard workers! -Our threes/four year olds were working really hard this week! This activity helped them practice multiple skills. They were asked to count, identify and write their numbers 1-10. They were most excited about being able to use expo markers Bringing in new materials can motivate students to want to learn.

This week our two year olds learned about the letter V! They had so much fun painting their Volcano and watching one erupt. One of our kiddos even touched the lava! -Bringing science into the classroom is a great way to keep young children engaged. They don’t realize that they are learning but instead they believe that they are playing. At NHP we strive to give our students as many different types of learning opportunities as we can. Everyone learns and experiences things ...in a different way and our curriculum reflects our students learning diversity. Although his mom holds a special place in his heart he is excited to play dump trucks and eat lunch with his new friends! We love to see that handsome smile of his! Science experiment! -Once a week our threes and fours participate in a science experiment! They enjoy the unknown and trying to guess what will happen next. Last Friday our kiddos experimented with warm water and skittles. They observed how the warm water changed the size of the skittles as well as the color! They also took turns sorting through the colors and pouring the warm water into the cups! Kiddos are always eager to help and learn, something as simple as pouring wa...rm water into a cup can get kiddos motivated and interested in the current project as well as school as a whole.
