** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 5/18 ** Vallejo Babe Ruth will be holding signups tomorrow (5/19) from 4pm-6:30pm and Saturday (5/22) 1pm-4pm at Wilson Park, 199 Stewart St in Vallejo. ** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 5/14 ** Vallejo Babe Ruth as decided to move forward and try to have a 2021 season. They have been given permission to expand their charter in 2021 to include the area that normally would fall under the Northern Solano charter. That will allow for players in the Northern Solano area to signup and play under the Vallejo Babe Ruth charter. Once Vallejo Babe Ruth finalizes it's signup/start dates, we will post another update with the information.

** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 4/30 ** We hope everyone has continued to stay safe. As of today(4/30), I/we haven't been contacted by anyone willing to be a league volunteer. Without volunteers to help take care of the day to day operation of the league, 2021 signups will have to remain on hold until we have a volunteer group in place. The league needs 5-8 volunteers for the league to function. If anyone is interested in being a volunteer, please send a message to our inbox. Once a volunteer group as been established, and has a meeting, we can then resume league activities.

Antonio Madden with Vallejo Babe Ruth is organizing games for players 14 and up this Saturday 4/24 at Dan Foley Park in Vallejo. The games will be at 2pm & 4pm. For more info, please contact Antonio at [email protected]

** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 3/30 ** Babe Ruth Inc. plans to move forward with State/Regional/World Series play in 2021. At the moment, we are still hoping some volunteers will sign on to move the league forward, and provide players a chance to play in 2021. With that being said, a local season for 13-15 & 16-19 team(s) would need to start around 5/1 and end the season 6/30 to prepare for tournament play. 2021 Babe Ruth Tournament Trail... ** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 3/16 ** We hope everyone has continued to stay safe. During our time away from the ball field, our league has had many of it's long time volunteers/board members decide it's time for them to move on to other journeys in their lives. With that being said, and with sports now being able to resume, the league needs to fill some vacant board positions to move forward. The positions that need to be filled are: *League President... *Vice-President *Treasurer *Secretary *Player Agent *Field Maintenance Coordinator The board also consists of members "at-large" that don't have a title. Once the board is formed, the things that will need to be done to get the players back on the field are: *Submitting a "Return to Play" Covid-19 safety plan, that must be approved by the City of FF. *Adapt/Approve existing By-Laws & Local League Rules *Determine participation fee for upcoming season Jr Div (13-15) and Sr Div (16-19) *League needs to purchase Charter/Insurance *Contact Vallejo Babe Ruth to workout a game schedule Northern Solano Babe Ruth has created a " League Operations Guide " that spells out the month to month things that need to be done to keep the league operating year-round. Earlier today we discovered that the locks to a gate and to a storage container were cut and our cart was missing....after filing a report with the FFPD the cart was located a short time later not far from the park. The officers said the cart has been damaged pretty bad and not operational. At this time it doesn't appear that anything else is missing from the storage container. *** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 12/9 *** We hope everyone has continued to stay safe. Usually we would begin holding signups for the upcoming spring in January. Unfortunately due to the public health situation with Covid-19, we are going to wait until State/County/City of FF officials advise us that it is safe to hold practices/games at FSUSD/City of FF facilities. Once public health officials say it is safe to continue, we will make arrangements to hold/schedule signups. We thank everyone for your understanding. Please stay safe & Happy Holidays.

** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 10/1 ** We hope that everyone has continued to be safe. At this time, the City of Fairfield Parks/Rec are still not allowing practices, games, sharing equipment at city facilities. Since our Fall Ball program usually runs mid-August to the end of October, and with no change in field use due to the current public heath situation, we will not be able to have a Fall Ball season. We are hoping that things will improve in regards to public health that will allow a season in the spring of 2021. We usually hold signups each Saturday in January, and begin group workouts in February. We will post more info regarding spring 2021 signups in mid-late November.

*** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 8/2 *** Our league has recently been in contact with the City of Fairfield Recreation & Parks Dept......at this time due to the public health situation with Covid-19, the City of Fairfield is not allowing practices/games at city facilities. We will not be able to begin our fall ball program on Aug 10th, and may not be able to have fall ball in 2020. If local guidelines change at a time that will allow the league to attempt to start our fall ball program, we will post an update at that time. *** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 6/24 *** We hope everyone has continued to stay safe. At the present time, the City of Fairfield Recreation/Parks Dept. are still not allowing team activities (games/practices) at their facilities. Fall ball is scheduled to begin Aug 10th, if local public health guidelines allow.....so at this time it's possible that fall ball could get pushed back or cancelled.....we will post another update in mid-July, once we see where things stand at that point. *** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 5/28 *** Just a reminder for those that weren't able to turn in your jersey/uniform last weekend, we will be available this Sat 5/30 from 10am-1pm at the ball field. When you stop by we will verify your refund amount, the name that needs to be on the check and the address that the check needs to be mailed to.......once again, we thank everyone for their understanding, and we hope everyone continues to be safe.

*** UNIFORM COLLECTION/REGISTRATION FEE UPDATE 5/21 *** Due to the upcoming holiday weekend, we will be available this Saturday 5/23 and next Saturday 5/30 to collect the Jr Division jerseys/uniforms. We will be at the ball field from 10am-1pm each day. For Sr Division- The league treasurer will mail a check to the address that's on the player application. If the check needs to be sent to a different address, please send a message to the inbox.... For Jr Division- The league treasurer will mail out a check after the league has received the jersey that was assigned to the player. When the jersey/uniforms is turned in we will verify: * The amount of the check that will be mailed to you * The name that needs to be on the check * The address that the check needs to be mailed to Northern Solano Babe Ruth would like to thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work through this process. *** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 5/18 *** We hope everyone continues to be safe. After discussions with Vallejo Babe Ruth, both leagues feel that due to the current public health situation, that if would be best to cancel the 2020 spring season at this time. With the safety of the players, parents, coaches, umpires and volunteers being our main concern, we felt the risk was too great to take at this time. We are going to see where things stand from a public health standpoint to see if w...e will be able to begin fall ball, which is scheduled to begin on August 10th. Registration fees will be refunded. All players in the Jr Division can keep their caps. The league needs to collect all the jerseys from the players and coaches. Along with the jerseys, if players want to keep the socks/belts/pants, the cost of those items will be deducted from the refund amount. If the pants/socks/belts haven't been worn(other than to try on) they can be returned. the cost of each item: Caps $5, Belts $10, Socks $10, Pants $30. Please send a message to our inbox with the following info- Players Name, Items along with the jersey that will be returned, Name refund check should be made out to, Address refund check should be mailed to if needed. For Sr Division players, just come by the field or message us about your refund. We will be at the field this Saturday 5/23 from 10am-1pm. *** LEAGUE UPDATE FOR 4/29 *** We hope all of your families are staying safe. The Solano County Stay at Home Order has been extended until May 17th. If the order get extended beyond that date, we have have to look at the possibility that the 2020 spring season could be cancelled, we will discuss that with the board of Vallejo Babe Ruth to see what our options are. If its decided to cancel the season, registration fees will be returned. The players will keep their caps, the league will collect all the jerseys. If players want to keep pants/socks/belt, the cost of each item will be deducted from the amount refunded. We will post another update prior to May 17th to see where things stand. *** PICTURE DAY POSTPONED *** Due to the Stay at Home Order in place, Picture Day scheduled for Saturday 4/25 will be postponed. Once league activities restart, we will set a new date. Thanks for your understanding. Please continue to stay safe everyone.

As we continue to follow State, County and City guidelines, team activities will continue to be suspended until May 1st. We are hoping that local guidelines will be able to change after that. Babe Ruth Inc. is still looking to begin State Tournaments on July 4th. Hopefully when it's deemed safe to do so, we will get practices/games going again...Thanks for your understanding.

We hope everyone is staying safe, we don't know when the next practice/game will take place, but we're doing our best to keep the field ready.

*** LEAGUE UPDATE 3/26 *** We will continue to follow the guidelines being set by Solano County Public Health, FSUSD and City of Fairfield Parks and Recreation. Team activities(practices/games) are being suspended beyond March 31st and will remain suspended until the local guidelines change. We will post another update in 7-10 days. *** TEAM ACTIVITY SUSPENSION UPDATE 3/13 *** After reviewing the City of Fairfield Parks & Recreation Departments press release last night and out of a abundance of caution, we will be extending the suspension of team activities(meetings/practices/games) until at least March 31st. The health, safety and well-being of all of the leagues players, parents, coaches and families is very important to us. We will post further updates/info as it's received.
