Meet Our Members! Erin Johnston first became interested in #aviation as a teen when she saw a commercial of a small airplane on TV. Before that, she had not realized other sectors of aviation existed outside of the commercial airlines. After a family friend let her use his plane for the cost of gas, she was able to get rated during high school. In college, she finished her CFI and instructed during the summers.... She is now a pilot for CLIF Bar flying King Air 350s and shortly will be taking off to obtain her #falcon900 rating. Erin favors throwing functional pieces of pottery and has made her own dishes. Before Covid19, she was a member of an adult #icehockey league, the Blade Runners. She lives in the Bay Area with two cats, one of which is named Bart. Yes, as in Bay Area Rapid Transit due to his similarity in smell and squeakiness. NorCalBAA events have been a strong point for Erin as she moved to the area from Illinois and was still learning about the industry. She is also a member of the 99s.
