The U.S. Department of Labor today announced a final rule to provide greater simplicity and flexibility to retail industry employers. This is good news for retail or service establishment businesses that currently pay employees on a commission basis. The DOL is removing old, arbitrary lists that identified businesses it considered retail establishments (or not).
