North Star Pet Assistance

Can anyone foster for North Star ? Cats have been getting adopted quickly in the last few months.

Donations can be made via the Facebook button or through our PayPal at [email protected] North Star is trying to help a colony of feral cats in rural Apple valley. These hungry cats show up every night for their only meal. We are supplying the food and paying for spay neuter for these cats but funding is limited. Linda B-the other Linda is doing the legwork of feeding them every night, trap...ping them and taking to the vet to get them fixed and then releasing them back to their area. Update. Shadow was adopted and is smiling once again !!! Please share -rescue-Adopt. Shadow is an approx five year old lab mix He’s was an owner surrender... because the new grand baby grabbed him while he was eating and Shadow snapped at the baby. He didn’t bite. It’s truly heartbreaking to watch this boy who came through the shelter doors-jumping -hopping-curious-wiggling and wagging his tail-as happy as could be. Once his family left this is the way he is. He’s reverted and so depressed. His heart is broken and he keeps looking for his family to return. We are hoping someone can adopt or rescue him. Seniors -black dogs-black dog syndrome -males- have a hard time getting out of the shelter and this pup deserves a home so he can be happy again. He is housed alone. The vet said to leave it as it is as to do anything else at this point would require re-breaking it etc. The vet also said that Sunny has an under-developed eye which she cannot see out of.. Currently taking pain meds for the leg. Meet AC20-14 SUNNY ..Sunny came in as a stray. Sunny is approximately a 3 year old, female, Lab/Pitbull mix. She was scanned for microchip and nothing was found. Sunny is great with staff and other dogs, she has been tested with small and large breed dogs. If you are interested in her, please come by the shelter and give her a visit! BOSTON will die on Tuesday, 1/28 without reputable rescue or responsible adopter. There will not be an extension. He needs us NOW - please share him. 10 yr old BOSTON was left in the drop kennels on 1/1 with no note during duty hours. He was adopted then returned a few days later - no fault of his own, the resident dog didnt like him. Boston is a really nice boy, 86lbs and neutered. These three are the shy ones.... they hide whenever potential adopters come to meet them, (although Poppy, the larger calico, did come out to take a look at n...ew people the last time!). They are super friendly and outgoing with people they know, and are looking for an understanding and patient home that will give them lots of time to adjust and settle in. The two calicos would ideally be adopted together, as they are sisters and have never been without each other. You can see in the video that the smaller calico has a deformed front right leg. She was born that way, and it does not cause her any pain. She gets around and climbs just fine! The calico sisters are looking for a quiet home, and they get along with other friendly cats. Please consider these beautiful shy sisters.... even shy adult cats deserve homes All three are spayed females, 5 years old, vaccinated and litter box trained. INDOOR ONLY HOMES.

2/23 UPDATE - ADOPTED! BLIND SENIOR! This little senior is blind - no one has reclaimed him and he has been at the shelter since 2/14.
