It is with a heavy heart that we at the North Park Drawing Group are saddened at the loss of our dear friend Richard Nolan. Richard was a more than just a regular attendee. He was a staple of our drawing community who helped run the group throughout the decades. Richard was a talented artist who always had a smile and story to enlighten you of North Park’s history. On Saturday, March 14, 2020 - We received word from the director of the North Park Recreation Center that they will be shutting down the the facilities out of precaution for the Coronavirus. Tentatively, the Recreation Center will re-open on April 6th. On Thursday, February 27th, construction was still occuring on Idaho Street right in front of the North Park Recreation Center. Most of Idaho street north of Lincoln Ave and south of Howard Ave was blocked off with detour signs. As of this post we don't know if the construction and detours will continue for Saturday, February 28th or for how much longer the construction work will continue.
