The cost of applying for US Citizenship is increasing from $640 (or $320 with a partial waiver) to $1170 on October 2. If you or someone you know is eligible for citizenship, apply now! We'll help you through the whole process @ no charge (in most cases). www.northcountycitizenship.org

Congratulations to Joselyn, NCICC's 65th new citizen! Joselyn is our 2nd client to take her oath after USCIS reopened this month. The oath ceremony looks a little different now. It's done drive-thru style, 2 cars at a time, and no guests allowed. The new format doesn't diminish citizenship's life-changing impact. As Joselyn said, "It couldn't have come at a better time.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers, partners and donors! In the midst of chaos and your own challenges, you organized food drives, gave books and games to young kids, made hot meals, and donated your stimulus checks to families who can't pay their rent. Every day, these families are asking us to pass on their gratitude and blessings (often through tears). In the words of one mom, "May God bless each one of you for having a heart that reaches out to others."

Looking for a way to help your neighbors who are struggling right now? Many of our local clients have lost their jobs or had their hours reduced due to Covid19. They're struggling to pay bills, and fear they'll have to stop their progress toward citizenship. Your donation now will make citizenship possible, and change the course of a life. northcountycitizenship.org

Operation Grow is underway! We NEED your help! Dearest Friends of NCICC, Sometimes it feels like NCICC has an old soul. The agency turns seven years old this January, and our legal practice is only three years old, but client impact has been profound.... Last week, I asked former client and new American, Eulogio about his experience with NCICC. "Ms Linda," he said "I cannot put into words what NCICC has done for me. I came looking for citizenship, and I found a family, a home here." Eulogio now volunteers to tutor current citizenship candidates at NCICC's citizenship program every Wednesday night. He also now attends the Hispanic Ministry services at SBPC. At NCICC, he found not only citizenship, but friendship and a home. To date, NCICC has made 62 new citizens and filed almost 200 immigration petitions with a 99.7% acceptance rate from the government. But more than helping folks get the legal paperwork they need, NCICC is affecting them on a personal level. Hundreds of immigrants are improving their English, thanks to NCICC's beautiful volunteers. All these measures have engaged volunteer community members in the act of welcoming and loving their immigrant neighbors. NCICC is building important cultural bridges. Won't you be a part of growing this soulful agency? With only five part time employees, NCICC is stretching every resource to expand its hours and reach more clients in need. Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday. Please consider GIVING to NCICC so that the agency can enter its 8th year with the capacity to IMPACT more immigrants like Eulogio, and develop more efficient mechanisms for supporting volunteers. $30 = one immigration screening $200 = one staff training (required by USCIS) $250 = one new citizen $1500 = legal affiliation fee for World Relief $5,000 closes the gap needed to open the office one more day a week!!! DONATE HERE: http://www.northcountycitizenship.org or send us a check : NCICC 120 Stevens Avenue, Solana Beach CA 92075 Thank you for helping NCICC to work towards its mission of serving immigrants on the pathway to citizenship. I believe it is YOUR goodness and generosity that help give this young agency its old, loving soul. Gratefully, Linda M. Haley Executive Director 858 509 2589 [email protected]
