We will leave you tonight with some Delilah love, as only she can give. We love this girl. Love wet kisses? Ready for a 55 pound lap dog? (and yes, she WILL fit on your lap!) A dog that smiles non-stop? Delilah is your girl. She knows her way around a couch, and has very nice house manners. In fact, she's a great house dog, and if you work from home or are retired, you would be her dream come true. She wants to be your one and only, but her heart is big enough that she is all you need. Her adoption is sponsored, and she is ready to go. Give us a call, 707-762-6227, or apply online, www.northbayanimalseervices.org/dogs!

Roudy is our beautiful 8 year old kitty looking for a perch to call her own. She loves to watch the world from on high; you can find her in the top of our cat tree, curled up snug as a bug, or on cat patrol, on the top of our armoire. Her ideal home would be serene and peaceful, nothing to disturb her catnaps. She is on the independent side here at the shelter, but we think in a home, where she can blossom and show her true colors, she will appreciate a lap and snuggle. She tolerates the presence of other kitties, but we feel she would be happiest as the one and only. Looking for a companion, someone to share your days with? Ask about Roudy, we would love for her to find her forever home. Give us a call, 707-762-6227, or apply online, www.northbayanimalservices.org/cats!

Here’s our Sadie, impersonating a lap cat. Wait, she IS a lap cat!! She’s young, just three years old; and playful. Her favorite thing though, is a lap. Along with head butting and making biscuits on you. And she drools, just a little, to let you know she’s in her happy place. We’re looking for a special home for this kitty; indoors only since she’s declawed, adults only. She prefers life as the only pet. Her adopter should be the patient sort, give Sadie time to adjust. Change is hard for this kitty but we’ll help you get her adjusted. Give us a call! 707-762-6227!

Another fantastic adoption! Jack had been a neighborhood favorite; no one knew what happened to his family when he showed up on a doorstep. Taken care of by several different families, he was brought to us to find a permanent home. And thanks to Zoom, he won the hearts of Avril and her husband, and he went home to live with another kitty and two sweet little dogs. Thank you for adopting!

Dale is such a little ham! Just look at him showing off his silly side! Dale is such a loving and attentive boy. He is currently in foster and is doing great! He is house trained, adjusting to being crate trained, and best of all he is making progress on his seperation anxiety. Dale likes other dogs and could potentially share his home with one with a little bit of management. He is not a big fan of kitties though. Dale can sometimes be a bit nervous with certain people, but gentle words and lots of treats go a long way with him! This little pocket pittie is sure to be a great addition to almost any family!

We had an amazing day today! It's not everyday we get to meet a plane filled with kitties transported from City of San Bernardino Animal Control! Many thanks to all who came together to make this transport happen; ASPCA, Marin Humane, Humane Society of Sonoma County and the wonderful Pet Rescue Pilots! And of course thanks to San Bernardino for reaching out when they received many cats from a hoarding case; we are all here to help! It was so fun to meet the plane, and meet our new kitties; the team from Pet Rescue Pilots were so excited to be a part of this rescue, and clearly love animals. These 25 cats are now residents of Sonoma County! How cool is that! And they're lovely; watch for more pics and updates coming!

Sweet and timid Maddie found her forever home today! This lovely woman lost her a dog about a month ago and needed a new little companion to help her heal. What better than a little lap dog?

Adopt Ember! When Ember first came to us as a young puppy during the Paradise fire, we fell deeply in love with her. She was adopted into a lovely home and recently returned due to no fault of her own (sometimes things just don’t work out and that is okay). She is a lovely and sweetly shy girl who can be timid at first meeting. While here with us, we’ve been teaching her about all things good including meeting new friends, both two legged and four legged. We feel that a quiet..., adult-only home might be best for her as we want to be sure she’s set up for success loud noises or parties with friends just aren’t her cup of tea. Ember might be okay to live with a dog-savvy cat and is house-trained, crate trained and knows some fun basic cues. She loves to learn new things for treats too. She has shared that she likes some dogs, but not others, and would most likely want to be the only dog in your life; and what a life she could offer you. Her personality, and her happy nature would be enough to keep your heart full and smiling for a lifetime of love! For more information about Ember and to see if she’s still available for adoption, please visit our website at www.northbayanimalservices.org/dogs/ See more

Need a reason to smile? Check out this adorable video of Sophie coming out of her shell bringing so much laughter into our hearts (sound up for this video!). Normally, when we share time with her she's calm and timid but today she shared her silly side and our hearts nearly exploded with happiness! When we first met this adorable, darling girl she was a bit timid and shy and we fell head over heels in love with at first sight. Maybe it was that pouty bottom lip, or those ador...able ears, or that special way she has of just making you feel like you're the most important person in the world? We don't know for sure, but what we do know is that Sophie is soulful and makes deep and true connections with those around her. While it make take her some time to open up, she's worth the wait as her heart is full of unlimited love for everyone she connects with. (And she's super cuddly too). Sophie does like other dogs, but we feel she'd most likely want to be the only dog in the household and would like to live with older children ~ her personality and charm have the potential to fill your whole world with companionship and joy. For more information about Sophie, and to see if she's still available for adoption, please visit: https://northbayanimalservices.org/dogs/ See more

Sashimi was sitting on the kitty couch waiting for us to sit down next to her. Her front paws were curled up under her chest as she began to purr gently, just enjoying the moment and taking it all in. She's just that kind of girl. We reached over and began gently petting the top of her head, and she gently guided us to scratch under her chin. Those bright yellow eyes looking into ours, that sweet personality rubbing off on us - literally. Sashimi loves rubbing on you, your arms, legs, she loves giving and receiving love and with her striking good looks and beauty, would make quite the extraordinary companion. She likes other kitties too! For more information about Sashimi and to see if she's still available for adoption, please visit our website at https://northbayanimalservices.org/cats/ or give us a call at 707-762-6227!

Just look at all that happiness! Gator is such a heartthrob! At just under 18 months old, he’d love to find a home filled with all the love in the world! We walked out and over to the play yard where Gator was busy investigating the smells and sights and sounds of the world around him. When he saw us he tilted that beautiful head to the side and made a cute little Gator hop and bounced over to say hello. His energy and love of life is quite contagious and we couldn’t help but... start to smile and laugh in his presence. He’s quite entertaining and has that joyful spirit of a young Shepherd pup who loves to play, to romp and to learn fun new cues for treats (he loves training). We looked away for a few moments and when we looked back, Gator was splashing about in the water in his bowl We fell in love at that moment as he can turn anything and everything into a wonderful, playful moment. Gator needs a home with an experienced person who’ll help him learn more about manners and all things good. He loves other dogs and is super-duper puppy playful with them. We feel he might be a little too puppy-like for young children and he’s much too interested in kitties to live with or be around. If you’ve had a Shepherd mix before, and love what this special guy has to offer we just know he’d be a perfect match! Give us a call 707-762-6227 - we'd love to share more about Gator with you! For more information about Gator, and to see if he’s still available for adoption, please visit our website at www.northbayanimalservices.org /dogs/

Stop the presses! More breaking news! Gemma went home! Her adopter, Snazzy, has experience with opinionated cats, and she’s a cat groomer! She knows her way around felines, and we can’t wait for updates. There is literally nothing more gratifying than seeing a dog or cat go to their new forever home, especially when they’ve been with us over 1 year! Have a sweet life, Gemma!
