You know those goofy life hack videos that float around on social media? Most of them have very little actual usefulness, but here's a tip I like that I found on one. If you're cutting something messy like a watermelon (or 12 watermelons) put your cutting board inside of a baking sheet. Keeps the juices from running all over the counter. So about this time last year, we got a call from someone looking for the rainbow colored pops we had a photo of on our site. It's not something we carry normally as they are time consuming to make. But we often make special pops for events, photoshoots, even film/tv productions. So we made them. And then #covid hit and honestly we just kinda didn't think about it as we were working hard to figure out our path in this new reality. So we missed it when #abercrombiekids posted it last July, but it's a fun shot and we're pleased to be a little part of it. Hi, Kim here. I'm one of the co-owners of Nomad, but I don't write many of the posts. I love this new flavor because it's based on a childhood favorite of mine - like when I'd eat the salted yolk out from the center of a moon cake. I've been asking Geoff and John to make a Salty Egg flavor for a long time. I think John was interested, but Geoff was pretty skeptical. The recipe they developed turned out great. Really captures the rich savory salted yolk taste in a sweet cream...y base that is delicious. I've eaten every flavor since we opened Nomad, I'm guessing somewhere around 100 flavors, and this is top three for me for sure. We tested this flavor for the SGV eats restaurant week, but have decided to add it to the menu. Limited time!
