Aziz Akbari presented SPEAKER: Paddy Iyer Daily Bowl and How We Feed the Hungry I will be talking about our non-profit Daily Bowl and the food recovery efforts. Daily Bowl recovers excess food that would otherwise go to waste and deliver to Bay Area Agencies that feed families who are hungry. ... Hunger is a serious problem for many families in our community. Daily Bowl recovers edible fresh and prepared food destined for waste from food providers. We immediately distribute that to receiving agencies who serve the hungry and vulnerable. Essentially, we aim to rescue wasted food by putting it to good use. About Paddy Iyer : Paddy Iyer, a resident of Fremont, owned an iconic coffee house making it the destination for all community activities. Paddy started noticing the tremendous environmental impact of food waste while at the same time a lot of hungry community members, and thus Daily Bowl was born.
