Through all the good, the rough, and the crazy...you are still a good mom!!! Does anyone else seem to choose your worst days to measure how good a mom you are? I have to stop and ask myself but what will my kids remember when they’re older? And now that they ARE a little older, I ask them what they do remember. It’s never the days I struggled as a parent. Still one of my favorite gifts I’ve ever gotten from one of my dear clients! But it’s not just tricky nipples. It’s tricky babies! They sure have the right instincts and reflexes when they’re born, but their technique sure could use some work sometimes. With the exception of some occasional mild tenderness, breastfeeding should not hurt! If you’re experiencing pain or pinching with each feed, it’s likely the latch or position needs to be adjusted. And in some instances,... it could be baby has a tongue tie. You shouldn’t have to struggle through it. Being a mom is enough work as it is.
