Restoring Form and Function at its finest This is probably one of my favorite cases because it completely changed my patients life and now she can’t stop smiling. Teeth that are worn down can give an aged appearance but restoring it to its natural form and function give back the vibrance and youth taken away by years of grinding. What happens if you crack or break your #veneers? This does happen sometimes, unfortunately. Just like our teeth, veneers are susceptible to cracks, breaks and chips. A revision can restore your smile, and in some cases, even improve it. This patient had broken her upper veneers that had been placed by another dentist, and she also wasn't happy with the color. I replaced the broken veneers with 6 custom designed porcelain veneers, and used specific color matching to make them... whiter and brighter, and more in line with the patient's expectations. One of the biggest concerns people have when getting veneers is potential changes to their original tooth structure. Porcelain veneers are generally a conservative treatment and require minimal changes to the teeth. And in some cases, it's possible to place veneers with absolutely no changes or preparations made to the teeth. These are called "No Prep" veneers. This patient was very unhappy with the way her teeth looked, she had extremely thin enamel and it left her with disc...olored and worn down teeth. I was able to place 8 "No Prep" veneers on her teeth meaning NO tooth structure was removed. I wanted to preserve as much of her enamel as possible. She is so happy about the results and her beautiful new smile.
