Besides the pasture and alfalfa hay, they are getting lots of crimped Barley and a small amount of a balanced pellet ration which excludes corn (to eliminate any GMO products). The price is $6.30 per pound of cut and wrapped meat for a Quarter (approximately 130 pounds of beef). Purchase a half side of beef for $6.00 per pound.... For those who can't take all that meat at one time there are several options.... Exeter Meats has freezer lockers that will hold 130 pounds of beef. You can rent your personal locker for $15/month. Ground beef is still on sale for $3.00 per pound. More and more veterinarians are promoting raw meat for a healthy dog. The dry dog foods are filled with grains, GMO corn, and chemicals. Try feeding your dog 1/8 to 1/4lb of ground beef at each meal along with your regular dog food, for an improved coat.

The broken bones of the ball of my shoulder are healing nicely. Last Thursday I was allowed to remove the sling from my arm. It is so nice to move my arm! It doesn't move well but that will improve with time. I start physical therapy on Monday. I am now available Thursday-sunday if you need to purchase beef.

Catherine's tidbit for today ... When a heifer puts her head down and charges at you, then RUN. It is too bad that I didn't take my own advice 2 weeks ago when I was loading a heifer into a trailer. After flying through the air 8 feet, I landed on my right shoulder and broke the ball of my humorous into 4 pieces. I will have my arm strapped to my body in a sling for 8 weeks. I'm not in pain, but everything is an inconvenience and I'm relying on friends and my daughter for car rides and ranch work. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am ok.
