It’s 2021! We at Newport Pet Clinic want to let you know that we miss our client’s faces and our personal interactions with everyone. Unfortunately we now only see the squinting eyes to show happiness and concerned eyebrows behind a face mask. We have not been close ONE business day since the pandemic began in March 2020. We are a small but mighty team and we all take pride in staying safe as well as healthy outside of work to make sure we can be there for our patients that... need us. Rolling into 2021, we strive to continue to be there for you when you need us and we promise to always stay that way. We will never forget the 2020 days of playing puzzles, zooming with coworkers/family, and spending an abundant amount of time with our pets at home. However, we look forward to the memories of the future and making stable relationships with our clients and patients. Although we remain curbside for now, we look towards the goal of making great memories inside of our clinic as soon as can be. Cheers to happiness and health this coming year! Daphne is getting ready for the Holiday Season! Here are some safety precautions to keep your furry family members safe while decorating! - Christmas Tree: Keep it securely anchored so it doesn’t tip and fall, causing possible injury to your pet.... -AVOID mistletoe and holly: When ingested, can causer pets to suffer nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and cardiovascular problems. -Try to avoid tinsel: Kitties love this sparkly string-like toy. Nibbling and swallowing this product can lead to an obstructed digestive tract, severe vomiting and possible surgery. -Candles: Don’t leave them unattended. Pets may burn themselves or knock them over. -Keep wires, batteries and glass ornaments out of paws’ reach. Pets can electrocute themselves with wires or also cause burns in their mouths when biting into batteries. Wishing you all a safe and VERY happy Holiday season!
