I’m Dr. Brett Jacques, a licensed naturopathic doctor with over 30 years experience, helping patients achieve optimal wellness through natural medicine and bio-identical hormones. Alternative approaches to healthcare started with my great grandmother, a medicine woman, who taught me herbal traditions at an early age. I completed a degree in Exercise Physiology from Springfield College in MA, while c...ompeting on the wrestling team. I then enlisted and served in the US Army, where I was given the opportunity to go to medical school. I chose the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR that specialized in natural herbal medicine, dietary supplements, nutrition, physical medicine, the use of prescription medications, bio-identical hormones, minor surgery and spinal manipulation. I have worked in the dietary supplement industry for many years as a product developer, speaker and technical writer. I’ve also worked in the laboratory medicine industry at a lab that specialized in hormones, immunology and vitamin testing. My expertise is in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, gastroenterology and botanical medicine. I enjoy being a featured speaker at both conventional and alternative medical conferences on these topics. I’ve written chapters for medical, laboratory and botanical textbooks and have contributed to numerous naturopathic and health journals. My hobbies include spending time with my two sons, teaching martial arts and trying to bridge the gap between beginner and intermediate acoustic guitar playing.
