Martinez friends with children aged 5-18 : Check out this online New Leaf Collaborative ECO GAME with... **FREE****PRIZES****FREE****PRIZES****FREE****PRIZES****FREE*** We are usually in the classrooms presenting to students grades Tk-5th grade, and since that is not possible due to Covid, this is the alternative we are offering! Click the link to check it out! https://sites.google.com/view/passporttoearthday Yes, it's free to play and yes, there are prizes that can be earned. We are starting the 3rd week, but it's still open to anyone who is interested in playing. Students must be enrolled in the MUSD or live in the City of Martinez. Open to TK - 12th grade. Even though we are now half way through the game, your child can start at any time. There is no time limit other than choosing to complete the desired activities by May 30th! A minimum of 7 stamps is required for each prize level. It's up to your child to choose what activities he/she wants to do to earn those prizes. There are 5 levels of prizes!

I'm so sad to share that one of our former CSW students at JSE, Savannah Alexander, passed unexpectedly on her 15th birthday on December 27th. Our hearts and prayers are with her family, friends and the AHS community. Please consider supporting their family at this time. https://gofund.me/dbac5a55

It's not too late to Celebrate Earth day - Earth Day should be Everyday! and It's not too late to enter New Leaf Collaborative's district wide Upcycling Contest... While there are many things we cannot do right now, we CAN still make a difference! This is a perfect moment to to encourage our children to become stewards of the environment and Eco- leaders -- to take care of the one and only planet we call home.... Do you know a Martinez Unified School District student [grades TK-12] whom you would like to encourage to think creatively, use the resources that exist rather than contributing to waste, and, most importantly to support him/her in inspiring others and making a difference rather than making more trash? If so, here is what s/he would need to create and submit an Upcycling entry to the Earth Day Contest: Link to the contest info and flyer: http://newleafcollaborative.org//Upcycling-Contest-2020.pdf and a link to the flyer in Spanish: https://docs.google.com//1hJglyfLMkRWts3AgGJ6QW-Yr7y/edit NOTE TO PARENTS/ GUARDIANS: This is a GREAT hands-on, STEM activity that we encourage students to work on independently!
