Repost @drwaynedyer * In our Western religious culture, we are taught that in order to experience God, we must come into relationship with something/someone other than ourselves. We are taught that we are born deficient, with original sin, and are incomplete in and of ourselves and must look to this outside source in order to experience fulfillment. * According to the philosophy of... Advaita Vedanta, we are individual expressions of Divinity, not separate from it, just like a wave is an individual expression of the ocean. From this viewpoint, one cannot search for the eye from which it is looking, but rather it can only come to discover its true nature and form. What if we were to develop this new belief? One where Divinity itself was not an external force but an internal quality, available to us all? The Vedic tradition teaches us that this bliss is our birthright and that the only thing preventing us from experiencing it is years of accumulated stresses and false ideologies that have accumulated in our nervous systems and psyches. * It may be time to re-evaluate what we believe and why, especially regarding the concept of Divinity. If there’s one thing all the major spiritual traditions of the world have in common, it’s that Divinity is an internal phenomenon experienced as love. If what you’re experiencing in your spiritual tradition is not leading you to a loving relationship with yourself and with others, maybe it’s time to re-evaluate. Meditation can help. There’s an old saying that prayer is talking to God, meditation is listening. * I am not anti-religion by any means, even though I choose not to identify with one. If anything, I choose to identify with all of them. My sincere hope and desire is that you stop seeking anywhere other than the love in your own heart for whatever answers you are seeking. * Follow link in bio for full blog post. * #meditation #divinity #love #peace #vedanta #advaitavedanta #meditate #spiritual #spiritualawakening See more

What is the meaning of surrender?* According to Eckhart Tolle, surrender is when we yield to, rather than oppose the flow of life. We oppose the flow of life through mental judgement and emotional negativity. We can break this cycle by coming into the present moment. Then, and only then, can we take true inspired action to change whatever situation we want to change. * Surrender does not mean to except the situation without taking action to change it. It means to except the ...fact that the situation is how it is at this moment while not entertaining the toxic commentary that my mind has created around it. True surrender is in complete alignment with inspired action. * Link in bio to read the full blog post on surrender. * from pre-Covid trip to Sedona with the amazing @lisagniady * * #surrender #change #meditation #meditate #awakening #awareness #present #presentmoment See more
