HorseOWeen 2018 costume class. Thanks for coming out and partipating! A special thanks to Paul and Casey Buller for all the hard work both of them did to ensure that our event was enjoyable!

Casey Buller hosted an Obstacle Challenge clinic at the Equestrian Center. Horses were either lead or ridden through a series of obstacles. The obstacle series included water and trash lying on the ground. Horses were also exposed to smoke bombs, balloons, and a snake pit. The purpose of the clinic was to allow riders an opportunity to expose their horse to obstacles to build confidence and trust between horse and rider. Obstacle courses make for a better, well-adjusted horse when faced with new and potentially frightening situations.

We continue to look for ways to increase enjoyment at the Nellie Gail Ranch Equestrian Center for both horses and owners. To aid in our effort to decrease the fly population at our Center, we recently purchased 10,000 Fly Predators. Distributed by Spalding Labs, the fly predators stop the development of flies by taking over their cocoon and thereby killing immature flies. The predators are not harmful to animals or humans. We placed the Predators near the upper pipes on a trial basis. If we find that the predators decrease the fly population in the trial area, we intend to purchase more. For more information, please visit the Spalding Lab website at: https://www.spalding-labs.com/
