Colleen Sanders has been working with Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation's (UTUIR's) First Foods Policy Program for over three years, and has been engaged with local food systems and small scale agriculture for over a decade. (Family Violence Appellate Project - FVAP) will update us on federal and California state legal protections for survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Ms. Ramachandran will include interactive case studies that help advocates better understand these laws so that they can help survivors use these rights with their landlords, housing authorities, and employers and provide an overview of new and emerging COVID-19 tenant protections under California state law.
