NCGR San Diego Area Chapter 03.07.2021

Aquarius Cafe Tomorrow! Saturday, April 17, 2021 Zoom Meeting 11:00 am -1:00 pm Greg Bogart, PhD, MFT Astrology as a Therapeutic Art: Healing Human Relationships Astrology is a beacon in the relational sphere, shedding light on patterns of relating, the phases and seasons of relationships, the cyclical changing moods, and the planetary laws of attraction. Knowledge of your own astrological profile and consideration of the natal traits and current challenges of spouses, fri...ends, and family members aids us in creating more emotionally fulfilling and more committed relationships with others. In this presentation we’ll look at examples of how astrological work can aid an individual’s or a couple’s understanding of relational experiences and patterns of behavior. We learn how relationships have been damaged; we envision ways they might be repaired. Bio: Greg Bogart, PhD, MFT is a San Francisco Bay Area astrologer and psychotherapist, and a lecturer in psychology at Sonoma State University, where he teaches courses on adult development, myth, dreams, Jungian depth psychology, and the psychology of yoga. His book Astrology’s Higher Octaves was recently published by Ibis Press. He is also the author of Astrology and Spiritual Awakening; Therapeutic Astrology; Planets in Therapy: Predictive Technique and the Art of Counseling; Astrology and Meditation: The Fearless Contemplation of Change; Dreamwork and Self-Healing; In the Company of Sages; and Dreamwork in Holistic Psychotherapy of Depression. Greg has been a member of NCGR since 1983 and holds Level IV NCGR certification. You can visit his website at www.dawnmountain.com or contact Greg at [email protected]

Aquarius Cafe Zoom Meeting Saturday, May 15, 2021 11:00 am -1:00 pm Georgia Stathis: Age Cycles When we work with our clients, it is important to first identify their age because that provides us with a perspective regarding their experience and life development. For example, an individual who has not reached their first Saturn return will have a vastly different life experience than the client approaching their second or even third Saturn return.... Has the individual gone through the outer planet transits yet, like age 42’s Neptune square Neptune? In addition, there are other things happening at the same time with some of these age cycles. At age 36 to 37 they are experiencing three different things at the same time: Transiting Saturn is in a first quarter square to their natal Saturn, while they are experiencing their Lunar Nodal return and their THIRD Jupiter return. This is a standard sequence and with this knowledge and all the other transits occurring makes a difference in your delineation. The lecture will discuss this way of delineating and provides the student with a ‘tool’ list that they can keep at their desks when working with clients or doing research. Bio: Georgia Stathis is an internationally known natal and business astrologer and teacher since 1977. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University and her MBA from Pepperdine. She authored Business Astrology 101, Pushing through Time: Synodic Cycles and their Developing Phases (2019); the annual Starcycles Cheat Sheet. Her website, www.starcycles.com, offers downloadable lectures and articles. She is chair of Alexandria iBase Library Preservation project (in collaboration with Urania Trust and Kepler) designed to preserve and catalogue astrological literature for future generations. A seven-year service, it is a 501 c3 Non-Profit Educational Foundation. It is a free database offered to the global community for looking up authors, topics, titles of astrological materials for research and learning possibilities. At the present time, there are 20,000 catalogued items. Georgia helps her clients identify those things that are important to them which also are crucial in helping them identify their next steps. www.starcycles.com NCGR San Diego Area Chapter Register and pay: https://ncgrsandiego.org/wp/ $10. Tomorrow! Saturday, December 19, 2020 Aquarius Cafe Zoom Meeting 11:00 am -1:00 pm Wade Caves - A Traditional Approach to Relationship Astrology. In this lecture, we will explore the ways interpersonal synastry was examined in a multitude of applications, from nativities, to horaries, to elections. To make sense of hist...orical markers for compatibility, we will also need fair context about the purpose and utility of relationships in times past a discussion which will culminate in group consideration of how we can bring traditional symbolism into modern times and practice. Speaker bio. Wade Caves is an astrological consultant and educator specialising in horary, electional and classical astrological technique.
