This charming kitten is Lolla Bell she is four months old and looking for a new home. This stunning tortoiseshell would do best in a home without a dog, another young cat may be suitable. If she is frightened she will hide. She would love to play the mouser game on your cell phone. If you think Lolla Bell #36948 is the right cat for you contact the shelter to arrange an interview. #adoptdontshop #napastrong #friendsofnapaanimal #sonomapetcenter #americancanyon #napa #napacounty #yountville #sthelena #calistoga

This is Cinder she is an Alpine/Pygmy cross around 4 years old. She has been recovering at a vet office from the LNU fire complex and is now seeking a new home. She is a little timid with us, but we are all new to her. She will come and take treats from your hands but unsure if she wants us to touch her, yet. Do you have the patience to let her gain your trust? HAPPY TAILS! In November of 2019 we received this sweet 6 year old Pit Bull mix with a growth on the side of her face, along with a heart condition, bad teeth and being deaf. We had some of her surgeries done and we named her Scarlett (for the big scar on the side of the face). This lovely couple came and fostered her for us for a month and then they were a foster SUCCESS story and decided to adopt her in June of 2020. Her name is Gemini now, she looks fantastic and is so well loved, she could not have found a better home!

Time for a Happy Tails story! We hope this provides a little break from COVID and wildfires... (story edited for length and to maintain privacy of adopters) We adopted Jack (formerly Ozzie) on July 11th. He had been with you for months, then in foster care. During that time, he underwent major surgery on his liver and pancreas. He came to us with a bundle of needs. His teeth, gums, and sinuses were infected, and he could barely stand. I remember one of your staff members... telling me that everyone who inquired about him quickly backed off, overwhelmed by his condition and needs. We made immediate veterinary appointments, and by August, he was fully recovering from extensive oral surgery, treatment of periodontal disease, and removal of two sarcoma tumors on his tummy. He became a renewed dog! Jack now takes short neighborhood walks and long doggie stroller rides. He is well-known in our complex and has a human fan club as well as a small canine social group. There is a sacredness and wisdom in old dogs. Jack is a very old man, and every day we have with him is precious. When he leaves this world, he will go knowing love and kindness and that he is deeply cherished. That we can do this for him is his gift to us. People say that Jack is lucky to have been adopted by us; I respond that we are the lucky ones, to have this little 10 pound spark of joy in our life. Your literature says that adopted dogs may take up to three months to feel completely "at home" with their new family. Jack definitely knows he is home forever. I wish to thank you and your staff at the shelter, the doctors who cared for him before he came to us, the unknown person who was kind enough to call you when she found Jack and another dog abandoned at a dog park, and especially Jack's loving, compassionate foster mom, Becky. For helping Jack on his journey to us, you all have our unending gratitude. Sincerely, C & E
