FLASH FLOOD WATCH FROM 10AM THROUGH THIS EVENING. DO YOU NEED YOUR WIPER BLADE REPLACE? WE ARE OPEN TODAY UNTIL 6PM... Wiper blades should be replaced every six months to a year or as soon as you notice a difference in driving visibility. When wiper blades no longer make proper contact with the windshield surface, they can begin to squeak, chatter, skip, smear or streak reducing driving visibility.

4 Great Rainy Weather Car Care Tips 1. Windshield Maintenance If you haven’t already, now is a good time to replace those windshield wipers or at least make sure they are doing what they should be. Clean your windshield (also side and back windows) for better visibility. Make sure your front and rear defrosters are working well, too.... 2. Take Care of Your Tires Hydroplaning and skidding are real concerns if your tire tread is low. Make sure your tires are in good shape, rotated every 5,000-6,000 miles, and properly inflated. It is also a good time to get a wheel alignment check. Don’t forget about your spare tire either. 3. Maintain Belts and Seals Water damage can rot window, door and trunk seals, leading to leaks. You also want to make sure any engine/fan belts are tight and functioning well. Squeaks and squeals can be sight that belts are loose or water is causing them to slip. 4. Check Battery Life Winter is a good time to test your battery and look for any corrosion that can be magnified by excess water getting in. If your lights are kind of dim or your car is taking longer to start on cold mornings, it’s definitely time to get that battery checked.

The Car Maintenance Schedule Many manufacturers use a 30-60-90 schedule, meaning certain items need to be inspected, changed, or replaced at 30,000, 60,000, and 90,000 miles. Oil and Oil Filter... The non-synthetic oil that was traditionally used in the past always had a 3,000-mile rule of thumb, but most cars today run on synthetic, which can safely last between 5,000 and 10,000 miles, depending on the type. Air Filter 15,000 to 30,000 miles is a good rule Fuel Filter 30,000 miles Battery 50,000 to 60,000 miles Brake Fluid 20,000 to 45,000 miles Brake Pads/Shoes A good set can last up to 50,000 miles. Brake Rotors You can either replace your rotors or have their surface ground down so they are smooth again at roughly 60,000 miles. Coolant 60,000 miles Transmission Fluid Manual transmission- 30,000 to 60,000 miles Auto Transmission- 30,000 to 100,000 Hoses 90,000 miles Power Steering Fluid 75,000 miles Spark Plugs/Ignition System 30,000- 90,000 miles Timing Belt 75,000- 90,000 miles
