The way humans manage the environment doesn't have to be destructive. In the western corner of Canada, ecologists have shown forests once tended by First Nations people are healthier and more resilient even now, 150 years after these ancient custodians were forcibly displaced by colonial settlers.

Can you see the diving bird shadow art on the hill? There are many pieces of shadow mega art behind CSUSB and on most of our hills in the evenings and mornings. I believe the local indigenous people altered the hill ridges so when the sun hits it at a certain angle it creates art on the main hill that moves with the rising and setting sun.. This is bird art but the shadows are also human faces and other images. In the hills to the left of this art is a man singing with his mouth open, best seen during powwow time at CSUSB. There is also a facial image on Arrowhead Peak. I also heard an old story of 5 chiefs made of shadows in the main hills in our range. This is art at the genius level.

Hey Berdoo friends... Anybody remember early morning breakfast trail rides down the mountain from the Arrowhead Springs stables? I remember it would get hairy ...when the horses followed a tiny trail with a really long drop off on the west side of the trail.
