Mercer Island juniors split into pods and held their Etiquette brunch this weekend. The YM made brunch for their Mother’s that included table setting, cooking the meal from scratch (buttermilk biscuits, pancakes, an Italian Frittata, roasted potatoes, and Arugula Salad), clearing plates, and doing the dishes. NLYM Tustin Chapter honored 23 Young Men during our annual Senior Tribute - celebrating Class of 2021 individual achievements in community service, leadership skills, protocol education and cultural experiences. Though virtual this year, it was incredibly special...marking the growth of these Young Men through the years! Thoughtful tributes were recorded by Fathers and Male role models, so each family has a unique and memorable keepsake. The program also featured both a YM Ma...ster of Ceremonies and 2021 Class President leading interactive college game trivia fun! A special gift basket was also hand-delivered to each family beforehand loaded with treats and a tribute book filled with mementos highlighting each Young Man. Thanks to our Senior Tribute Co-Chairs Charae Gabriel and Brenda Rumbaugh -- and their entire committee -- for making this event so special for our senior families! Thank you for everyone’s support today with West Valley NLYM’s class of 2024 Goodies to Go snack drive. The boys collected over 3000 snack items for our hardworking health care workers at local hospitals this afternoon through the communities generosity.

This past Sunday, the Tustin Chapter Class of 2022 enjoyed a socially-distanced self-guided tour of the Sculpture Exhibition at Civic Center Park in Newport Beach. This weekend we had our Fall All League Philanthropy. Lead by Jennifer Friend, Project Hope Alliance helps children in need in the community. Event chair Caroline King planned and orchestrated the successful event.For Project Hope Alliance, our young men helped organize their pantry and assembled some gift boxes. They also worked with representatives from Boards for Bro’s to build boards. NLYM Lake Oswego, Class of 2022 had an amazing event this weekend with Friends of Baseball in conjunction with the location’s food bank. YM said they would do it again! Young men from our Yorba Linda chapter volunteered to help with the 25th Annual National Charity League, Inc. Fashion Show held this past weekend at Hanger 21 in Fullerton. It was a very busy weekend for our Issaquah/Sammamish NLYM Class of ‘22. They held a green bean drop! What is a green bean drop? The 2022 Fall Philanthropy grade level event, voted to support fire victims from Sumner/Bonney Lake. The Bonney Lake Food Bank have 700 families that are in need of Thanksgiving Dinner this year and they have asked us to collect green beans. Yes....they need 700 cans of green beans! They have other organizations to focus on the other items to ma...ke up the baskets. Our young men were masking and tasking!
