When Eleanor Roosevelt said, Do something that scares you every day, she wasn’t talking about watching the latest slasher film on #Netflix. She was talking about stepping outside your comfort zone. The cozy routines most of us live our daily lives in keep stress and risk to a minimum. The trouble is, the things that would make us happiest in life are often also the scariest things to go after. We all have things we’re afraid of. It could be a fear of starting a new job, goi...ng back to school, moving to a new city, ending a bad marriage or relationship, or starting a new one. A study by Duke University reveals that we share a natural reluctance to experiment. In fact, 47% of our actions are habitual. That’s a shame when you think about it, because in many cases, the risk of trying something new is relatively small, while the rewards can be enormous. No matter how scared you are about making a leap, the trick is to not let your fear hold you back from doing something that could ultimately make your life better. I started my PMU career because I NEEDED to do something that SCARED THE LIVING LIGHTS OUT OF ME.... Once I realized that the reason I had made so many repeated mistakes in my past was because I WAS SIMPLY BORED - I chose to OCCUPY myself with a VERY SCARY, HIGH STRESS occupation..... After years, the fear melted away and I grew to LOVE what I do...... However, I wouldn't be lying if I confessed that EYELINER TATTOOS still scare me a little BUT I love the fear! When are you going to face your fear & TAKE MY ONE ON ONE CLASS? DO IT NOW! CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!! @fytcartridge #1liner @alicecosmeticink #jetblack

Every business owner hopes to succeed in their venture. Access to the right resources plays a huge role in that successbut barriers do still exist, especially for female entrepreneurs. Women in the business world often talk about the importance and benefits of supporting each other. Here’s some ways you can achieve your own success, PLEASE SHARE THIS POST and help others do the same. 1. Give 10x What You’re Looking To Receive ... Instead of asking, How can I as a woman get more resources? ask, How can I help more people, women or otherwise? Tap Into Your Shared Mission I encourage entrepreneurs to be vulnerable and tap into the strengths of the community of women around them. Connect With Both Like-Minded And Diverse People For Ideas Connect with entrepreneurs who have the same mindset as you. Also Connect with diverse teams. Let them share their own suggestions and allow them to be creative with your brand. Ask For Help Directly When I want to learn about a new topic, I find the best thing to do is go straight to the experts. Fearlessly Focus On Asking And Offering Fearlessly ask for business and fearlessly offer resources to other female leaders. Join Peer And Industry Groups Female entrepreneurs should join peer groups, such as executive forums or industry organizations. These types of resources are great for entrepreneurs because you can build your network and learn. Reach Out On Social Media An easy, fun way to get in touch with other female entrepreneurs is by reaching out to them using social media. These platforms take the edge off and make it easier to network than going to an event or sending them an email. You can also personalize your message based on the content they post so you have a higher chance of grabbing their attention and starting a conversation. Don’t be afraid to be the first to reach out; as long as you’re being authentic and honest, that’ll translate in your communications. Think Beyond Your Own Industry Always seek out other mentors who excel at their fields, even if their field of study doesn’t directly affect you. You never know who you may meet or what you might learn.

I know this day may be hard for some- It’s hard not to feel a bit overwhelmed by the media barrage to buy cards, flowers and presents, and the preset menus at our forced dinner reservations may take the romance out of our sexy night. There's another way to look at it however. Valentine’s Day can serve as a useful reminder to practice simple acts of kindness and to show appreciation for the special people in our lives.... While it’s easy to say that every day should be as romantic as Valentine’s Day, we often wind up distracted by all the things we have to do and don’t make time for what I call relationship upkeep. Work, routines, kids and other obligations take precedence, and our attention gets deflected everywhere but toward our one and only. Beyond being a reminder, Valentine’s Day gives us permission to celebrate love and affection. It's the perfect excuse to have fun, be playful, rekindle passion or just appreciate the one you’re with. I hope this Sunday, Valentine’s Day, also serves as a reminder of God's unconditional love. Uncoditional Love is made up of three unconditional properties in equal measure: 1. Acceptance 2. Understanding 3. Appreciation Remove any one of the three and the triangle falls apart. This, by the way, is something highly inadvisable. Think about it do you really want to live in a world of only two dimensions? Of course not! So take a deep look into how your life is working and how your relationships are going. Are there things in the above three areas that might not be in alignment? What I can tell you is that as we love unconditionally in all we do, our world changes. We become abundant and we feel real genuine peace. We do become free! The more we love ourselves unconditionally, the more we can love others unconditionally. And.... Today, I am grateful for the love reminder I experience everyday with my #unconditionallove @ivanatattooart Happy Valentine’s Day from us See more

A little blurb from a yet to be numbered chapter of my book- I knew they were coming, the Americans, because there was a rush of excitement in the neighborhood. I couldn’t wait to see them. Their white van arrived and they got out. I loved the way they looked! Their clothes was so clean and their smile was so big. Their voice was so gentle and they were so tall and white. I would jump up and down with my aunts and uncles and all the kids in the neighborhood. We would gather ...around their van and we would all scream, Americans, Americans, Americans!! I always ran to the most beautiful one and waited for my coin. I loved the way it shined in the sunshine. *In 2n grade, I learned that coin I would get was a nickel. I like when people say if I had a nickel for every time My hair was always shaved off because it was always infested with lice. I never had clothes on, just panties and oversized shoes. I guess that made me an easy target for the sexual abuse that started at around 5 years old. I was sexually abused by almost everyone who could get their hands on me. At the age of 6 years old, my bisabuela passed away and my abuelita traveled to Aguascalientes, Mexico to be by her side. During that night my mother kidnapped me and smuggled me into El Paso, Texas. In the darkness of a speeding sports car, I released my quiet tears to the memory of my abuelitas smile. And with the most terrifying fear, I left my beloved Mexican family without any good byes. Will you read my book without judgement?

Data Shows Women Paid More Attention To The Super Bowl Than Men So, we know women are tuning in. But new data collected by the metrics platform TVision Insights shows that every aspect of the broadcast is holding women’s attention much better than that of men. TVision, which uses propriety sensors to provide second-by-second analysis of who is watching TV, who’s in the room, who’s paying attention and who is reacting with delight, has produced some eye-opening numbers indica...ting a widening gender gap around NFL viewership. The TVision platform uses data from a demographically diverse, representative panel of viewers around the country who opt in to their measurement system. Their metrics use 100 as a baseline for attention, with numbers above 100 being better than average and those below 100 being worse. The company found that men scored 88.4 on the attention scale for a halftime show, compared to 109.1 for women, a difference of 23%. Women were also 26.1% more focused on the ads, 110 to 87.2 for men. So sure, women watched the entertainment and the commercials, but what about the game itself the gritty gridiron action that’s obsessed generations of manly fans? Once the ball was snapped, women were over 27% more likely than men to be paying attention. Let’s get back to that point about the commercials since that’s where the money changes hands. A pointed piece by AdAge columnist Jeanine Poggi called Super Bowl So Male detailed the vast disparity in gender representation in Super Bowl ads on both sides of the camera. Poggi noted how male celebrities ranging dominated the game’s most buzzed-about commercial spots, and how some brands shied away from explicitly inclusive messages (although many did not). She also raised an important point about the relatively small number of female creatives or production executives involved in the development of Super Bowl ads, on the assumption that most of the ads were being aimed at male viewers. It turns out that the data no longer supports that assumption. WOMEN ARE watching the game. WOMEN ARE watching the ads. And WOMEN ARE MAKING BUYING DECISIONS FOR THE HOUSEHOLD. ... WHAT WILL YOU BUY? BROWS? LIPS? EYELINER? See more
