Is there someone who has helped you feel supported along your #mentalhealth journey? Thank them! If you have lived experience with a mental health condition, or you’re a family member of someone living with a mental illness, you know that support from loved ones is essential in helping us survive and thrive. Our new 30-Second Survey has questions for individuals living with #mentalhealth conditions and their family members and loved ones. For those living with mental health conditions: Can you share something supportive to say to someone else living with a mental health condition? What is something you've been told that has been hurtful or unhelpful? For family members and loved ones: Can you share something supportive you would say to another family member who has a loved one living with mental illness? Can you share an example of something you've been told that is hurtful or unhelpful? https://namica.org/30-second-survey-things-to-say-and-not-/ #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealthmonth #mham #namicacommunity

In partnership with local NAMI affiliates, we are offering safe, secure, and culturally sensitive emotional support for all Californians who have been impacted by COVID-19. Through CalHOPE, NAMI California and our affiliate partners deliver crisis support for communities impacted by a national disaster. CalHOPE is funded by the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and run by the California Department of Health Care Services. NAMI affiliates working with CalHOPE include NAMI Fresno, NAMI Orange County, NAMI Santa Clara County, NAMI Santa Cruz County, NAMI Westside Los Angeles, and the Mental Health Association for Chinese Communities. The program provides warm lines and more support for all Californians who may need help related to COVID-19. More: https://namica.org/calhope/ #notalone #CalHOPE
