We've always hosted resident events throughout our communities, encouraging residents to emerge from their homes and to create a sense of neighborly camaraderie. Unfortunately, due to the current situation, all resident events did come to a screeching halt. We still wanted to enrich the quality of life in their communities and diligently worked to create events for residents that followed CDC’s guidelines. You may feel bored, frustrated or lonely. You may also be low, worried or anxious. It's important to remember that it is OK to feel this way and that everyone reacts differently. Remember, this situation is temporary and, for most of us, these difficult feelings will pass. Staying at home may be difficult, but you are helping to protect yourself and others by doing it. Over the next few weeks, we'll share tips and advice from our teammates, friends, and residents on activities you can do to help keep on top of your mental well-being while staying at home. We continue to monitor the developing situation globally and nationally with Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and well-being of our Employees and Residents is of the upmost importance to us. We would like to remind the our Residents to continue to follow the CDC to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19 and influenza. This includes, but is not limited to: handwashing, using hand sanitizer, cleaning/disinfecting frequently touched objects, avoiding close contact, not shaking hands, etc. Practice Social Distancing remain at least 6 feet from people. Our onsite staff will be practicing Social Distancing. We ask guests and residents to also adhere to maintaining at least 6 feet from people.
