Yesterday, May 5th was WORLD HAND HYGIENE DAY Proper handwashing prevents up to 50% of infections that are acquired during health care delivery. However, nearly a quarter of health centers (24%) in Ethiopia do not have water for handwashing available on location. In the last year alone, we installed handwashing stations in 42 health centers in Addis Ababa, Amhara, SNNP, and Tigray states as a way to strengthen a hand hygiene routine throughout these communities.... #HandHygiene #CleanYourHands #InfectionPrevention #safehands
