Not only has Lofoten Seaweed been awarded for the design of their products in both LA and New York, the company has also been awarded for the Nordland female entrepreneur of the year award in 2019, and Norges Vel´s Norwegian Entrepeneur of the Year in 2020. Posted @withregram @latimes In a major overhaul of the Los Angeles School Police Department, the Board of Education on Tuesday approved a plan that cuts a third of its officers, bans the use of pepper spray on students and diverts funds from the department to improve the education of Black students. The decision comes after a year-long campaign by student activists and community members to reimagine the school police force, which they maintain disproportionately targets Bla...ck and Latino children. Their drive and recent calls to completely defund the school Police Department intensified following the police killing of George Floyd, which forced both cities and school districts across the country to consider how police use of force has disproportionately hurt Black Americans. The police overhaul by the Los Angeles Unified School District provides funding for school climate coaches who will work to promote positive school culture and address implicit bias at every secondary school. In August 2020, Menon Economics published a report about Norwegian export. The report, spearheaded by its partner Sveinung Fjose, looked at the prospects for Norwegian export, and how the tools for promoting Norwegian businesses abroad can help increase Norwegian export in the future. The report analyzed the main identifiers of Norwegian export and how such export has developed over time, compared to Norway’s Scandinavian neighbors. Trick-or-treating, haunted houses and Halloween parades have been nixed under new Los Angeles County health guidelines.... Trunk or treat events, which involve car-to-car candy dispersal and are sometimes held by churches or schools, also are banned. Large gatherings or parties with non-household members either indoors or outside will also not be permitted under thenew health order. The latest guidelines also prevent carnivals, festivals and haunted house attractions.
