Every Memorial Day I thank our men and women who have served and sacrificed so much for this country, including many members of my own family who have suffered ...the horrors of war. Today was especially poignant for me as I attended an AAPI rally in Camarillo. Asian Americans have served in every war America has fought in the 20th century. Despite of their loyalty to this country, they have been treated with disrespect, scorn and outright hatred because of their ethnicity. This must end if we are ever to truly be the country our founding fathers envisioned. Thank you for your service. See more

The Juneteenth rally in Simi Valley was a peaceful, but thought provoking event. There is still a long way to go towards racial equality. I am proud to have been able to help with this event, and to the cause! Black lives do indeed matter!

It was an honor to march with my brothers and sisters at the 40th annual Labor Day Parade in Wilmington today! I was very happy to see so many esteemed labor le...aders, and distinguished politicians such as Louie Rocha,Hilda Solis, Gil Cisneros, and Nanette Barragan. The former secretary of labor even came by our float, and spoke to us for a few minutes. Special thanks to Tim Stepich, Tyler Mc Lean, and of course to my beautiful wife and daughters. ***PLEASE SHARE*** We are the Technicians of WJW FOX 8 Fox 8 News, represented by NABET-CWA Local 42. Our contract expired in December 2017. Currently, the Comp...any will not agree to a fair contract. We are proud of the work we do to make FOX 8 successful in the Cleveland market. In the May 2019 ratings period, FOX 8 was #1 in key the demographics, proudly promoting this accomplishment. It troubles and saddens us to know the Company does not value our efforts. These are a couple of the main sticking points: -The Company has proposed dramatically lower wages for new hires resulting in a split pay scale! -The Company wants to be able to layoff workers out of seniority order. ANDwe have NOT had a pay raise since November 2016! WJW FOX 8 does NOT seem motivated to negotiate a fair contract with us.
