A little something for your sit. who’s sitting a lot i so long to push and pull the bodies in front of me and maybe sneak in a few exercises for me. right? as you can see, i do this FIRST thing, it’s as important as ... i’ve learned that if i take a minute and set up my sitting and take breaks, everything will be ok 1. press your feet and anchor your seat (the same way you’d sit on your wunda) 2. your palm is evenly waited- esp that pinky>lats>waist>oh hello seat! 2. keep the ring parallel to the floor the entire time. so check yourself 3. only squeeze enough to feel width in your chest: open, tall, +lift. 4. continue to work the width of your elbows just like you would in shaving. i hope this helps + happy Friday

happy friday! friday is my day off teaching pilates and my day for some serious taking pilates. today i wanted to work on: spine corrector... graduating to biiiiig leg springs one-armed swan (@leahdwin) standing arm series and i did! because i only take open studio style classes. my private sessions have always worked this way and i was hooked immediately. but isn’t it so nice to see some extra familiar faces and in an online class setting? thank you @westwood_pilates for making friday’s work so inspiring and connecting us all.

control balance almost, right? not quite, though. this is going to look way different at the end of august- post mat intensive. one of the perks of teaching a mat intensive is doing it myself all 34 every day of august! i’m so so so excited to see the improvements for those who are signed up. i’m all full for this round but i will offer it again before the year is over. ... #ritualpilatessandiego #ilovethematwork See more

the wall + standing arms i love when clients ask for homework! this is my favorite homework to dole out. the standing arm series against the wall: biceps, 45 degree biceps, bug, and side bend. that side bend stretch will usually be the driving exercise. ahhhh ... all they need is a wall and the 4 exercises pack a lot in. doing this independently lets them FEEL lots. teaching a feeling is always best See more
