Bow Wow & Meows

Yikes! yesterday was National Rescue Dog Day! Shame on me for forgetting to give a big shout out to my best bud, the heart beat at my feet, my right paw pup and the light of my life; Cooper. My little hero and rescuer! And I know I am biased but seriously...Have you ever seen a more handsome face?

During our time of hibernation many of my clients have texted me to let me know what they are up to. Seems like they are staying busy! Higgins is learning golf, Speedy is working on his tan, Sunny is reconnecting with her human sister, Prince is trying out a new look and Pearl and Betty are on neighborhood watch. As things open up slowly I look forward to seeing them again! Stay safe, sending good juju to all!

Don't think I can get Cooper to do any of this!

Oh my gosh I miss my friends!!!! My house is small but it feels large and empty. I know Cooper feels the same way, it may be my imagination but in the mornings after breakfast I swear he is looking at me as if to say; Hooman, why are you not going to get the dog people? ... I tell him I miss them too, I know we will see them again, but for now I miss; Tommy, Sunny, Speedy, Prince, Mr. C, Sasha, Bernard, Maudie, Pearl, Palomar, Urkart, Rose, LB, Pancho, Lucy, Daisy, Duchess, Pugalcious, Ritz, Jellybean, Stella........ Our little house is so so very quiet right now! To flatten the curve we are staying home and hunkering down! That said, should anyone need an emergency place for their best friend because of illness or problems they are having right now please contact us. We would love to be of use and help out. Stay healthy everyone....take care of each other and lets kick some Corona virus butt, get back to loving our neighbors no matter who they are! We are all in this together! We have a new member to our little crew....and oh my all the little boys are crazy for her! Meet Maudie....weighting in at about 4lbs. Maudie is a miniature Dachshund. Maudie comes for a bit of socialization on Wednesdays and a certain handsome French Bulldog is in love.... Mr. Chile does not leave her side and frankly his friend Cooper think Mr. C needs to play a little hard to get, but it is clear that Mr. Chile is in puppy love and it is a sweet and hysterical thing to see this big brute of a dog roll around on is back trying his best to get Maudie's attention! Welcome Maudie! You sure have made are Wednesday's more fun!

My sweet brother in law has been thru a lot lately. His wife of 30 yrs, my sister, died this past Christmas. Three days later he found out his daughter has stage 4 colon cancer. A lesser man might have decided that all this sorrow and pain would make him turn in and not put his heart on the line again. But Jim has survived three cancers himself and in the last few years was my sister’s caregiver and did his job with gentleness, kindness, love and devotion. He is no ordina...ry man. So, he opened his heart and home on Saturday to a cute and somewhat difficult young lady named Boo. And in doing so he not only will be helping her but he is helping himself to a happy and love filled life..did I mention he is smart as well? He has his work cut out for him...Boo is a Chihuahua mix who is not very trusting and is in need a stable home with lots of patience and kindness. This I have no doubt he can provide in abundance! Jim is my hero and I am hoping this new relationship brings him many years of love and joy! See more

Yesterday it was cold and rainy....in the afternoon we decided it was nap time. Nothing like snuggling with my crew.

Last night I was winding down we took in for the evening a sweet little poodle schmoodle mix named Taco. Taco is a party on four paws! She rolled in and a conga line of dogs began to run thru the houseout the back door thru the yard, into the garage and back again. For two hours they frolicked and I sat back, laughed and watched. There are a few of these party animals in our group, they are popular, charming, energetic and full of fun. Today I give a shout out to these party animals; they make my job easier and a lot more day entertaining! I don’t have the space to list them all but here are a few: Mr. Chile, Taco, Poncho, Sasha, Bruce, Cooper and XImilu. And I have to mention here it is not about age cause Mr. Chile is 9yrs young with a big puppy attitude!
