Do you have new or gently used designer handbags you no longer use and would be willing to donate to fund a water well for the Maasai? Now you can donate a designer purse and together we will provide clean drinking water for thousands of women and children who thirst. All the proceeds generated from your donated purses will go to fund our clean water programs for the Maasai in East Africa. Together we will save lives! Call to donate a bag or you can make a financial donation here: https://mychosenvessels.org/donation/
MCV supports Maasai women in sewing masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We provide the fabric, training, and resources to design the masks and distribute them as part of a Maasai COVID-19 prevention campaign which provides COVID education through Maasai music, sanitation training, food, masks, and other supplies necessary to protect Maasai communities. Today is #WorldWaterDay, a time to reflect and raise awareness for all the people around the world that are affected by the global water crisis Currently, 29% of the world population lack safely managed and reliable drinking water, and 784 million people are without basic water access. Yet water is our life force and essential for all humanity! MCV compiled a list of water facts, we ask you to reflect on these facts as we affirm our commitment to doing our part to end the w...ater crisis for the Maasai people. The problem is huge, but it is not unsolvable; together we can solve the water crisis for the Maasai people within our lifetime! Today in honor of Women’s International Day, MCV is excited to announce a new project we are launching to build a Women’s Empowerment Center and Marketplace for Maasai women. This center will provide economic opportunities for Maasai women to lead their own revenue-generating activities, including a creative space to showcase and sell Maasai women’s artistry and other social enterprises. This facility will be constructed entirely from used shipping containers. We believe in promoting gender equality and ensuring Maasai women have equal opportunities to support their family’s future and shape society. You can make this dream possible for Maasai women by giving generously here: https://mychosenvessels.org/donation/
Today we celebrate UNESCO’s International #MotherLanguageDay, to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity! MCV is committed to safeguarding Maasai traditional knowledge and investing in programs to ensure the continuation of Maasai cultural practices and language, including building a Maasai Education Center that will equip and inspire Maasai students to remain fluent in Maa traditional language. Learning one’s traditional language as a child greatly increases not only fluency, but knowledge of all aspects of culture. To all our supporters Ashe Oleng (Thank you) for safeguarding Maasai heritage for future generations! https://mychosenvessels.org/
Together we are providing food and hope to Maasai Families! This month MCV is providing food relief to widows and needy families that don't know where their next meal is going to come from. Let’s change the world through powerful acts of love, bringing food to people facing daily uncertainty and food insecurity. We are #OneGlobalVillage https://mychosenvessels.org/
Spread the love this Valentine's Day by giving clean water and hope! MCV is committed to bringing clean water to Maasai families, and we invite you to join in supporting our community-led water programs. Together we can improve health, lift up Maasai communities and make our world a better place! https://mychosenvessels.org/donation
MCV is working to eliminate the burden that is placed on women and girls who are forced to haul water for miles on a daily basis. In collaboration with the Maasai community leaders and our partners at Engineers Without Borders and The Love Tribe Project, we are working to ensure every family in the Irkaswaa village has access to safe water. Located in southern Kenya just 6 miles from the Tanzania border, we are constructing a 50,000-gallon storage tank, installing a water distribution system, and providing sanitation training to serve thousands of Maasai people and livestock! Learn more in the Clean Water section of our website, or by visiting https://mychosenvessels.org/irkaswaa-village/.

As 2020 comes to a close, we’re looking back on a challenging year that also offered opportunities to come together and face tough challenges! We as My Chosen Vessels supported women entrepreneurs, worked to provide clean water & sanitation, and used Maasai music and planting traditional medicines to combat COVID-19 in East Africa’s Maasai communities. We thank all our donors & volunteers for making this important work possible!

Maasai women, like indigenous women around the world, are leaders in their families, entrepreneurs and wisdom keepers! However, they are also frequently deprived of education, clean water, adequate nutrition, business opportunities, and the resources to contribute fully to society. MCV is excited to launch an economic and personal empowerment program to build the self-confidence and management skills for Maasai women to manage their own business in the tourism sector.
