One of the biggest claims in my agency when I first started out as an agent happened on the Fourth of July. Fireworks caused a huge fire on the roof of a business I insure, the sprinklers completely distorted the interior of his space. Unfortunately the agent before me didn’t have him properly covered and made several errors on his TIB and she failed him. ... His business is finally reopened after covid and this terrible fire and water damage. He had an amazing restaurant with delicious food and wonderful customer service. He thought he was protected and that his old agent had him fully covered. Please know what your insurance policy actually covers.
