MVE is back on the Marysville Ring Levee project providing professional services. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is continuing repairs to the 7.5 mile long Marysville Ring Levee, which completely surrounds and protects the City of Marysville. The essential goal of this project has been to strengthen the levee and to protect it from the probability of water infiltration. To do this, soil, cement and bentonite clay is mixed with native soil to build a barrier or is directly packed into the trench itself. Here’s an update on the Crystal Cove Conservancy’s (CCC) Capstone Restoration project. MVE is back on-site providing professional services. The infrastructure portion of the project was completed back in June and is now focusing on constructing the $1.7 million 650-foot elevated pathway and boardwalk. Contractors has been busy installing the balance of the utilities and is finishing the final grading of North Beach Road. MVE is providing a variety of services for a new affordable housing project in Downtown Los Angeles. The Firmin Court Apartments will consist of 66 affordable and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) homes for low income, homeless, chronically homeless families and provide on-site counseling services. MVE is back on the LBA logistics center in San Jose. This logistic building is approximately 180,000 square feet on 5.8 acres and is strategically located along Interstate 880 at 1605 Industrial Ave. The state of the art industrial building will consist of 1,200 Amp Service with 4,000 Amp Pull Section, 50’x60’ column spacing, 28 dock doors, and up to 77 container/trailer stalls for large oversize material storage yard. Our surveyors are back on Avena Bella providing a variety of services. Avena Bella II will consist of 61 units of family housing in two Mediterranean style buildings located on 2.2 acres. One building is a two-story walk-up with 16 units, and the other is a three-story elevator served building with 46 units. Apartments are a mix of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units clustered around a common recreation area and a tot-lot. The Riego Creek Elementary School in Roseville, CA is complete! MVE is very proud to have been a part of JL Construction’s team. Riego was designed to reflect an updated layout by designing all of its community-use buildings such as the library, office and multi-purpose room at the front of the campus. The school will also feature flexible learning spaces, indoor and outdoor learning communities, a single point of entry, perimeter fencing and an adjoining public park. Feature...s included: 6 Kindergarten and TK classrooms with play structure, 3 learning community clusters organized by grades with outdoor learning space and shade structures, 28 classrooms plus associated restrooms, small group instruction rooms, a 4,000 SF multipurpose building with warming kitchen and stage, and an Administration building with associated offices. Construction is underway for the Doragon @ Chinatown in Fresno and MVE is proud to be the engineer and surveyor for this development. The proposed project will be a high density, 4-story workforce mixed-use development with approximately 4,700 s.f. of ground floor retail space. Doragon will have (56) affordable workforce housing units, and (1) manager’s unit. The site consists of 0.60 acres of vacant land at 1101 F Street, Fresno, CA 93706.
