Tuesday Tip - Memorizing Piano Pieces So often we want to quickly memorize a piece but struggle doing so. In this week’s Tip, the great Mr. Kevin Hamby gives us a great way to turn your piece into a ‘road map’ of sorts to help you memorize your piece a little easier and faster!

Arietta - Performed by Mikaela Pock In this weeks student performance, we highlight one of our awesome students, Mikaela, performing a classical piece called Arietta! The challenging part about this piece is that the left hand is very busy especially for a piece at this level. Mikaela does such a great job keeping her composure and making her way through. Great job Mikaela, keep killing it!!!

TUESDAY TIPTriplets vs. Sixteenth Notes A new Tuesday Tip intro deserves a great Tuesday Tip and we’ve got a great one from drum instructor Tamara this week showing us how to better identify the difference in feel between triplets and sixteenth notes. Use a metronome and/or high-hat to keep the tempo as she explains here.

Bart comes to us with many years of teaching experience, a bachelor’s degree from the Sac State School of Music, and a passion for the drums that is unmatched. His teaching experience includes teaching at Sacramento City College as well as many years of teaching experience at other music schools.
