USCIS will now implement inadmissibility on the public charge final rule nationwide, to all applications and petitions postmarked (or submitted electronically) on or after Feb. 24, 2020.

USCIS has published the final rule on public charge ground of inadmissibility. The final rule requires aliens to report certain information related to public benefits. Instructions for Form I-944 requires the alien to report if he or she has received non-case public benefits on or after October 15, 2019; instructions for Form I-129 and I-539 requires the alien to report if he or she has received public benefits since obtaining the non-immigrant status.

The expected EB-5 program changes include: 1. Increasing the minimum investment amount of targeted employment area (TEA) projects from $500,000 to $925,000 or more 2. Changing how targeted employment areas (TEA) are designated to restrict the projects that are approved for EB-5 funding
