While the nuns of the Congregation of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family have always served the community through challenging circumstances, this recent event has stressed their resources. ...Around $6.5 million have been estimated to be needed to repair the Geitawi hospital (less than 2 miles from the blast. The hospital, already busy with the rising Covid-19 pandemic victim treatment, is now handling the sudden influx of injuries from across the city.
