Mt. San Antonio Gardens 10.07.2021

Mt. San Antonio Gardens begins our 60th anniversary year with the start of construction of our new Wellness Center. The two-story, 11,330 sq. ft., state-of-the-art, fully equipped Wellness Center will include dedicated space for certified rehabilitation and physical therapy as well as massage, yoga, and Pilates rooms and outdoor patio space. The Wellness Center project, which is expected to be completed in the summer of 2022, will be located in the center of our 31-acre campus and will include the renovation of our existing Pool House.

Gus the Gardens' Gnome moved to Mt. San Antonio Gardens at the start of the year and has welcomed his family on campus for a holiday visit. Although he is usually playing hide and seek with residents, his eagerness to introduce everyone to his family has residents lining up to share a little holiday cheer.

Although the holidays might look and feel a little different this year, Mt. San Antonio Gardens is committed to honoring the staff who have worked so hard to make our community as special as it is. Our physically-distanced Employee Holiday Luncheon consisted of a three course meal complimented by hot apple cider and eggnog. Last, but not least, of the Mt. San Antonio Gardens residents to organize an end-of-day staff send off, were the A building residents who serenaded the dedicated Grounds Crew with much appreciation and affection. "We love you, Grounds Crew! Oh, yes, we do!"

Mt. San Antonio Gardens residents of the Bonita Cottage and Fringe neighborhoods gathered with signs, cheers, pots, pans, and cowbells to show their appreciation for the dedicated members of our Sodexo Dining staff who've worked so hard to continue to provide quality take-out meals since mid-March. As you can see from the posters of appreciation made by the dining staff, the affection is mutual!

San Antonio Gardens residents of the Terrace neighborhood met in the parking garage to send members of our Maintenance Dept. off for the weekend with a rousing performance of "Ode to Maintenance" sung to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat," accompanied by ukuleles, a banjo, a harmonica, and a robust percussion section of pots and pans!

Mt. San Antonio Gardens housekeeping staff were serenaded into their weekend on May 15. Grateful Gardens residents sang "When the Saints Go Marching In" accompanied by banjo and drums, acknowledging many weeks of relentless work by this team dedicated to keeping the Gardens clean and safe for residents and staff alike. With signs declaring "We Love Our Residents," the staff members were touched by the outpouring of appreciation by residents. "Gardens Family: We're Here for Each Other."
