Mountainview Staff Spotlight: We are focusing on gratitude and it is a perfect time to highlight our Special Day Class teachers: Ms. Gallo, Ms. Liedblad, Ms. Gottfried, and Ms. McRae. This group of teachers has done an amazing job of persevering through challenges and finding solutions during this unusual time in education. They were part of the first group of students we brought back on campus, and they have been instrumental in our success. Being on campus looks a lot dif...ferent than it has in the past and they have still managed to make school a warm, friendly, welcoming environment. They continue to provide high-quality instruction and engage their students whether they are online or in-person. Adapting to an ever-changing environment is par for the course right now for educators and they have done an exceptional job!!! Words cannot express how incredibly thankful we are for their hard work and dedication to our students. Thank you to Ms. Gallo, Ms. Liedblad, Ms. Gottfried, and Ms. McRae for your unfailing dedication to our students and for helping to pave the way in bringing students back on campus. Mountainview is fortunate to have these extraordinary teachers as part of our staff!! Thank you to our absolutely amazing Special Day Class Teacher team for all you do everyday for our students!

Mountainview Staff Spotlight: We are recognizing our Primary Paraeducator team! Our stars of our staff highlight this week are the Paraeducator Team who work with some of our primary students in grades TK-1st grade. Miss Daisy, Miss Stacy, Miss Michelle, Miss Cookie and Miss Caitlyn are the wonderful members of this team. Each of them bring something special to the table and have a unique set of skills. They are fun, creative, consistent, and thorough. They help Miss Gallo... create an exciting, engaging learning environment, and always make sure they are meeting the needs of their students. They are ready to do whatever it takes to help students succeed. These ladies adore each student and have adapted beautifully to our changing learning environment. Their roles and responsibilities here at school continue to evolve and they have been amazingly flexible throughout this entire school year. Miss Gallo continuously raves about how helpful they are and how much she appreciates them. Our paraeducators help make Mountainview an excellent place for students to learn and grow. Mountainview Staff Spotlight: Our amazing Campus Supervisors. In typical years of in-person learning, our campus supervisors are tasked with the safety and supervision of students while out at play during recess and lunch times. So what, you may ask, can a campus supervisor be doing while distance learning is taking place? With this amazing group of professional, the answer has been simple: Whatever it is the school needs to help students and/or be ready when students re...turn to in person learning again. Our campus supervisors have been a integral role in textbooks and supply distribution and collection. They have organized and readied the materials as they are delivered and prepared them for pick up from parents. Reading books, math books, science and social studies books, art supplies, and more. They have created individual bags with students headphones and bags with individual classroom supplies and math manipulatives. They have set up all of our classrooms with desks 6ft apart. They have helped put signs and markers across campus. They have assisted our RSP teachers in getting materials ready for work with students. They have organized our emergency bins, our classroom emergency bags, and our emergency paperwork. They have prepared videos with playground expectations for the time students return. Thank you to our absolutely amazing Campus Supervisor Team for all you do everyday to prepare for our students!

Mountainview staff spotlight: We want to thank a staff member who is doing a phenomenal job taking care of our employees and ensuring staff and student safety. We would like to recognize our LVN and health assistant, Mrs. Emily Will. She is an absolute delight to have working in our office. These past few weeks she has contacted many families to get students safely on campus for assessments. She has ensured our staff members have the proper PPE and all protocols are in place ...and being followed. She is the first person to greet the students as they come on campus for individual assessments and her kind, welcoming demeanor makes them feel at ease. She goes above and beyond to ensure we have the latest information from the appropriate health agencies to protect anyone on campus. She has always been so caring of our students when they are campus, bandaging knees, checking on students with tummy aches, handling medication, adressing student injuries, etc. Students are so comforted with her gentle nurturing. In this ever-changing environment, she has adapted our practices quickly and helps to solve any problems we face. Mrs. Will is an amazing addition to our fabulous office staff! Thank you, Mrs. Will, for all you do everyday for us!
