A beautiful hike at Emerald Bay with my sister!
It was a very busy week! It started off with my sweetie's birthday, then my sister came for a visit (we got a hike in at Emerald Bay!), and then I had the pleasure of celebrating the marriage of three wonderful couples. All family ceremonies -- and the heat was on! Looking forward to next week when my first large weddings are finally happening after postponements from Covid. Summer has officially begun and I'm ready to help you get married -- big or small!
I married Niki & Brett in January and it was not the prettiest day for photos, so today she put her dress on again and we went to Erhman Mansion for a little photo shoot.
A table ceremony with a view! M & C wanted the paperwork done without a fuss so we met at Skylandia, I issued the paperwork, and we made it legal with a view. The actual time for this was less than 10 minutes but we chatted for a while as they were such a fun, kick-back couple! . . . #skylandiaweddings #skylandiawedding #tableceremony #ido #married #nofuss #alllove #justmarried #madeitlegal #tahoeunveiled #tahoe #tahoeengaged #laketahoe
S&C met while trekking in Tibet. It was important to them to be married on a mountain in the snow, so we went to @squawalpine, found some snow, and got them married on top of a mountain! They actually had gotten married in Tibet with a traditional Tibetan wedding ceremony, but no paperwork was done. Because I'm also a Notary Public, I was able to take care of that for them too. Their love story is amazing. Again I have to pinch myself for being so blessed to do what I do. (My tripod and married sign are getting a lot of use!)
Set-up for a ceremony at Speedboat Beach with guests in Peru! Tom and Dani exchanged vows with a few Tahoe friends and many people watching on their computers. My tripod has been coming inhandy!
4/12/21 Evyn and Louisa wanted to make things "official" before Evyn starts his military career. They came up on a Sunday afternoon, scoped out a few locations I suggested, and decided on Lake Forest Beach in Tahoe City for the following day. Their moms and Evyn’s sister were there towitness the ceremony and they all went back to South Lake to enjoy dinner. Lots of loveon a beautiful Monday afternoon.
This bride. That smile. Love my #skylandiaweddings. : @ajphotographynv
Signing your marriage license on the hood of the car is a necessary requirement when you have an adventure elopement! In all seriousness, I get a high from being able to issue my couples’ marriage licenses because it’s one less thing for them to worry about, especially during Covid.
Aaron & Deborah wanted to celebrate in the mountains. They came to Truckee and found the perfect spot overlooking Donner Lake. Deborah’s dusty rose skirt looked amazing against the snow! @shinesphotography captured it all (photos coming soon) and even brought them beer! Wedding buzz for sure.
